Portuguese term
centros de mercadorias
Portuguese to English
Marketing
Real Estate
town planning / urban development
in the following context, from a marketing text about a major urban renewal project:
I have centros comerciais as shopping centres - I'm not entirely sure how best to translate the 'centros de mercadorias' here - in a website related to the project (not in the text I am translating), it says there are "2 zonas de mercado retalhista alimentar and um grande centro logístico de mercadorias", so I assume this is what is being referred to.
The text I am translating is aimed at potential inhabitants of the project, so the facilities need to sound appealing. I really can't think of a suitable phrase here in English, perhaps something using 'markets'? can anyone help?
many thanks in advance.

goods distribution centres

commercial/business areas
The term is generic. /Commercial areas in a city can take up about 5% of a city’s land... used for commercial activities. These activities include the buying and selling of goods and services in retail businesses, wholesale buying and selling, financial establishments, and a wide variety of services that are broadly classified as "business"./
