Pending lawsuit against unknown
More context would help. Sometimes in the U.S. attorneys will go after companies for damages, and they may list the known company and then other unknown companies or persons as "XYZ Company, John Doe, Jane Doe". So your "unknown" could be rendered "John Doe" depending on the context.

Case entered against John Doe (U. S. A.)
In the United States the name John Doe for male and Jane doe for female is typically used as a placeholder name for a party involved a legal case whose identity is unknown. Similarly names such as Richard Roe for males and Jane Roe for females are often, though not always used for plaintiffs e.g., landmark U.S. Supreme Court abortion decision Roe v. Wade.

John Doe is commonly used in the United States of America and is rarely used in other countries. Therefore my answer for other countries would be “Case entered against unidentified.”
