Bio

Degree in Translation from UNESP (1997). More than 20 years in the translation industry. Brazilian Portuguese native speaker. Three foreign languages: English, French, and Spanish. Certified French <> Portuguese translator since 2000 (JUCESP No. 1820). Trados-compatible CAT tool: Wordfast. Experience collaborating with international translation agencies such as ScienceDocs, Cetra, and Sofiamedia, among others. 

Has worked in partnership with American writer/translator/editor Lori Utecht for almost 20 years. Together, we use a very effective method: Vivian translates a PT/FR/ES text into English; next, Lori edits the text for accuracy, style, and form and sends it back for Vivian to prepare the final copy and send it in. This method guarantees that the source meaning is preserved and that the final text is accurate and perfect in form and style. No extra rates are charged.
