As indicated earlier, it differs from place to place and ethnic group to ethnic group, and even from time to time within a single area as leaders change. Justice for its own sake Explanation: While it is true that custom has served as a subsidiary source of law at least in the common law system (see James' Introduction to English Law), I don't think it is what is meant in the present context. It seems to meet that the author of the text wants to differentiate between statutory justice and what he/she considers to be real or actual justice. |
