يتحدث المترجمون في الآونة الأخيرة عن الترجمة الآلية وكيفية تأثيرها مستقبلًا على وجود المترجم، وفي الحقيقة فإن الحديث عن حلول الآلة ليس بالأمر الجديد، فقد تحدث جيرمي ريفكن في كتابه "نهاية العمل" الصادر عام 1996 عن هذا الموضوع وألمح إلى أن البرمجيات المتطورة ستؤدي إلى الاستغناء عن الإنسان واستبداله بالروبوتات في إنجاز معظم الأعمال ولهذا السبب أعكف على استخدام "ترجمة جوجل" وغيرها من البرامج للتدقيق والتحقيق والتوصل إلى مدى دقته وفي هذا المقال بعض الأمثلة على الأخطاء التي صادفتها.
