Spanish term or phrase:
asumir responsabilidad.
English translation:
Does not accept responsibility for....
Spanish term
asumir responsabilidad.
" Para los efectos legales a que haya lugar, hago constar que la certificación anterior se refiere exclusivamente a la identidad y capacidad de la compareciente y no prejuzga de manera alguna acerca de la legalidad, veracidad o validez del contenido del documento que se ratifica, en virtud de que el suscrito Notario no intervino en su formación y consecuentemente no asume responsabilidad al respecto"
"For legal purposes, I hereby declare that the above certificate refers to the identity and legal capacity of the appearing party without prejudice of the validity, legitimacy, authenticity of the content of the document that was certified, and, by virtue thereof, the undersigned notary public did not authorized such document and consequently, he is not responsible thereto".

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

to take/assume responsibility
I record for the appropriate legal purposes that the foregoing certification relates solely to the identity and legal capacity of the person appearing and in no manner prejudges the legality, truthfulness or validity of the contents of the document ratified, which the undersigned Notary appearing took no part in preparing and for which he consequently takes no responsibility.

My answer strictly relates to the specific phrase questioned, in the infinitive form.
take liability for
To be liable for: ser responsable de, según el Diccionario Jurídico ESPASA. Liability implica la responsabilidad jurídica de la materia. Es lo que me parece. ¡Suerte!
