Don't worry, Marina, I didn't mean to scare you off. It's a pervyi blin komom kind of thing, and it's no big deal.

Now, methink that since this stuff you are translating doesn't really mean anything (unless, of course, you believe it, in which case I take it all back), what really matters is that it a) sound good and b) be consistent throughout. I like MacroJanus, but in this case I don't like this binary/self-duplicating, etc. thing of his. This ain't physics, and those aren't quite soundbites. Speculating indiscriminately, I'd say "twin sparks" or "dualistic sparks" sounds better if you really want to keep this duality thing. However, this is still bland enough, and who wants bland? How about "infatuated sparks" instead? If there's charmed quarks, why not infatuated sparks? After all, who cares what some obscure original says as long as the translation reads good?

They all have a heart of gold. Lots of bark but no bite. Throw them a bone (points) and they'll lick your face (say thank you) and run eagerly to fetch the ball (answer questions). Scratching between the ears (ego boosting) is extra.

I have thought about this. And this is why the question can be answered by anybody here. People that cannot answer may just have to leave it but there may be someone familiar with spiritual literature and able to point towards something. I was not testing anybody. But to post the whole text is not only unethical but also disrespectful to the client. I never tried this forum thing before so wanted to try it out if I get some help.

You know, some of us here are real suckers for them points. And not only that, we are not even members. We are just stinky freeloaders. However, we are also the ones with the most expertise, so you don't really want to write us off altogether.

On the issue at hand, you seem to be translating a fairly esoteric text, of which the snippet that you posted makes no sense whatsoever in Russian, at least to a lay person it doesn't, so no matter what you do with it will make even less sense in English. How do you expect anyone who is unfamiliar with the rest of the text to even venture a guess? Have you even thought of such things before you got yourself into this?
