Proz.com conferences are an opportunity to consolidate existing working relationships and to establish new ones, as well as an occasion to learn about new technologies and trends about our profession. They are also a good excuse for travelling.

It was a Conference that was really worth attending. I got home (after a 12 hour/1,000 km bus ride) and immediately started implementing part of all the good advice we were given, downloading programs and organizing my workload, etc, etc.
It has given me a lot of insights on how to focus/manage my business and a much needed push encouraging me to take a step back (take my nose out of my screen and my fingers off my keyboard) and take a new look at what I am doing and where I am heading within the current context of the Localization business. Also an excellent opportunity to compare notes with colleagues and learn about the latest translation software and trends in industry technology.

As a sponsor at the Proz.com conference in Edinburgh Scotland, SDL Trados felt that there was a great buzz and energy at the conference. It was very well attended, and it gave SDL Trados the chance to communicate directly and meet face to face with a large number of potential customers. It has been very exciting to be part of ProZ.com conferences, and to be able to announce to such a relevant audience the future SDL Trados plans while receiving first hand feedback from the translators community. We definitely plan on involvement in future ProZ.com conferences.

We attended the Budapest Conference as a first time sponsor. There was always a big crowd around our booth and we were able to distribute 150 evaluation copies of our software. From an attendees perspective we felt the conference was well organized with lots of opportunities to network.
